Severe shootdown?
Whenever I fire a shot in my Ion, it takes forever to recharge. I looked at the pressure indicator above the regulator and when I dryfire it, it goes back to the pressure I set it at pretty slowly.. I'm almost certain this is why I'm experiencing shootdown.
I disassembled my regulator, cleaned it, regreased the piston with SL33K, and put it all back together again, but I still have this problem. Do I need to increase/decrease my dwell, or is there another problem?

make sure your tank is screwed in all the way. if you have the stock duckbill it takes some effort to screw it in. and change your battery.

The battery should be fine for a while. I've only gone around 5 times with this one, each time shooting around 500 paintballs. I also take it out after every use.
I'll try screwing in the tank tighter.
I have a Shocker on/off ASA but I broke this small part of it (a screw got stuck in there when I put in teh bottomline) and it costs 17 bucks to fix, so...
EDIT: I think I needed to screw in my tank tighter....the gun seemed to keep pressure up well enough when I screwed the tank in all the way.
PS: I see a little bit of grey smoke when I shoot. The way it comes and goes makes it almost like an accelerated version of steam coming out of something that's boiling. What is this?

Well, I guess that's the only logical explanation. But is it coming from the tank (the compressed air is just that, air from outside compressed into the scuba tank, then the marker's tank) or the bolt (I did play in the rain a few days ago)?

As previous posts stated, make sure your tank is tight. The SP ASA can make it a bit difficult to screw the tank in far enough once pressure is released into the gun, especially with a tank glove. I put a CP ASA Rail on/off adapter and had no further issues.

condensation is more like the right term to use. the air int he tank in under pressure, causing it to be cold when it exits; thus the warm air outside condenses when it come in contact with the cold air being fired from your marker.
