Is the jt protium good? I need some good advice on this gun

my friend has a tetra wich is pretty much like the protium and its nice for a stacktube blowback

can you use a 9v on the protium? i got 2 tetras and a protium from actionvillage on sale/clearance and the batteries are pretty sucky... i wanted to know if a 9v would work or if im gonna have to search for a 8.4

i went to radio shack for a 9.6 rechageble battery for my vs1 and saw a 8.4 but its shaped odd and i dont know if it would work?
