04 Imagine Detents

Got a used Imagine in today and found no spring, or a very weak spring, in the detent. I tried to take it apart to put some sort of spring in there and well... it didn't survive.

How should I have taken it apart? Was it possible without breaking it? It looks like the plastic was just fused together after it was built, so I'm not sure it's something I should have tried taking apart.

might have been defective. Call/e-mail kingman. Or just go buy one, shouldn't be more than a few bucks.

Did it work in the first place w/ paint? Or did you just tear it apart b/c it felt weak?

Yea they're cheap

I took it apart because the ball was stuck in the 'in' position and wouldn't pop back out. Didn't get to testing it with paint...I noticed it while I was tearing it down to check everything.

Oh well...not a major loss.
