You will have to set the velocity once you get it to 300 or slightly below it. Other then that, should be fine.

Velocity should be the only thing that needs to be adjusted when you get it. While your playing if you break a ball then you will need to clean your barrel.

you can check and see but i know when i got my gun and co2 tank neither one was greased/oiled so you should probably get a little paintball gun oil for the co2. Other than that you can also check and make sure the co2 tank has an o-ring but it should... lastly its not necesary but its good to take your gun apart (carefully) so you know how it works, make sure to keep pressure on the velocity adapter or it will shoot across the room (lol happened to me) check the instructions or ottersccustoms.com (great spyder and pball website) for more info

To check your velocity go to a paintball field and ask if you can use their chronograph. Put your barrel over the thing and shoot your gun. If its over 300 than turn the knob on the back of the tube counter clockwise until it is a little under 300. Also put a drop of Gold Cup oil on the oring on your co2 tank and also a drop or two in your asa (air source adapter, its the thing you screw your tank into). This will keep your internals oiled. Buy a squeegie too in case you chop a ball and learn how to disassemble/reassemble your marker on www.ottersccustoms.com When you chop a ball take out the bolt assembly and wipe off the bolt then squeegie out the top tube of your gun and try to get the paint out of your feedneck if their is any then put it back together. When you do chop a ball don't shoot more until you clean it or you will just waste paint and have a big mess to clean up.
