Need some help with a used imagine

I just purchased a used imagine e-marker off ebay. It was listed in good working condition, however, no battery charger. I put in a new 9v, since the 9.6v was dead when it arrived. I can power up the marker, but I can't get it to fire. I took the upper receiver off so I could check the sear. If I hold the sear down, the solenoid can really move. When I let the sear return to spring pressure, the solenoid doesn't hit it hard enough to release it. Im hoping a fully charged battery will give it enough juice, but thought I would ask here before I put too much into it. The local shop wants $35 for the charger. Anyone have a decent price if thats the way you would go?

Its the battery. DOn't pay $35 for one though. You can get them cheaper online, or on ebay.
