The next thing you want is a barrel. Then if he is really liking the gun, and wants to stay with it, get an electronic trigger frame for it, and also a nice new ACS bolt from Spyder. Then after that if he still doesnt wanna upgrade guns, get a HP tank for the gun. After those, he should prolly upgrade to a better gun.

Dont get an ACS bolt they may stop chopping but thats pretty much it. Tell him 2 go with either a superfly or an aka lightening bolt. Spyders dont chop from my experiences. And then as redtarget said get a compressed air tank. There is much more you can do 2 a spyder, but i wouldnt put that much into 1.

Well I have a TL-X and it has never chopped, so I guess kazoo is right go with another bolt. Dont put more money in to it than what was spent on buying the gun.

if you want to upgrade a spyder xtra get a better spyder..i'm not knocking xtra's. i've done alot of research on them..there nice...BUT...you can get better guns for a little bit more money..i think most retailers sell xtra sets with co2 and everything for like 100....for 85 you can get an icon. its a spyder imagine knockoff.....but if you have to stay with the xtra get a barrel, delrin bolt, triggerframe, and a new gun then...but stay with a spyder and you can take all the upgrades with you

I like my rodeo (little more uprgraded Xtra) and the body is what I like the most. Not a real fan of top cocking guns. So get an e frame and see if you like it. Nothing eles if you do it right you have just a little better imagine and no loss of money.

All spyders are pretty much the exact same on the inside, so getting another spyder would only be wasting money on gettin a bunch more stock parts and a different looking body.

At most I would get the revvy, then prolly a new barrel like the progressive or j&j ceramic, and an e-trigger. After that just get hpa, and it will be time to look into getting a higher end gun if he still plays.

sick_Dawg. i understand what your saying but. i know i would rather buy a new gun and keep the old spyder as a back up. you pay for quality too. i'm not saying the xtra compared to the electra is complete crap. but there a higher quality as the price tag shows. but i dont mean to sound like i'm hating on you. i respect you and you posts.

I to have an xtra and I really like it. I have a freak jr. on it and a halo frontman. The next step would be compressed air. What kind of triggers are out there to upgrade the marker with?

This thread is a little old... But I dont think there is really any aftermarket triggers for a mech spyder. I may be wrong though.
