No.

The bolt will develop small scratches, usually on the top half and the nose. They're mostly harmless and are the result of the bolt rubbing on the inside of the body.

You can polish the bolt with some fine (think 600-1000) sandpaper followed by some metal polish. If you're inclined to, you can deburr the inside of the gun's top tube as well. I used a small round file. Take the feedneck off to get into the lip there as well.

The reason you don't see the scratches on the delrin and plastic bolts is because, well, because they're plastic. They're softer and slide smoother.

this sort of thing probibly only happened to guns that have been shot a lot. And if it does happen, i mean so what just take it too a pro shop and have them take a look at it.

Dude....the bolt is not going to hurt you gun but if you dont oil it then it will hurt the gun....thats what happend to my friends Spyder because he didnt oil it...so i would oil it after every battle just alittle oil, dont use to much or it will eat at the o-rings...but if you want to get a new bolt get a Kingman Anti-Chop Bolt (with is Delrin)

I've read that this happens on all blowbacks. It is normal wear as stated. Just keep the gun lubed, and keep an eye on your o-rings.

yes, and maybe take and put 1-2 drops on the bolt too...and use your finger to lube the bolt after applying the oil
