Can you get eyes without a new board?
I don't want a faster firing rate for my Imagine. I don't care if ya'll think I should. I just want to know if you can get "eyes" solely for the anti-chopping feature. I'm a noob to paintball so I might sound a little odd, I dunno.

I won't say it can't be done, because someone might step up and prove it possible.
If you find a way to add eyes into the stock board, it will not be easy. It has not be done before that I know about. Chances are it isn't possible, if possible it would probably still be better to use a different board that was designed for eyes.

If your not changing the stock board I would just go with an antichop bolt.

I am positive that there is a way to put eyes with the stock board, but it wouldnt work very well, and it would take a bit of time to do.
It is worth it getting a new board tho if it means eyes. They are a lot better at stopping chops than the ACS bolts and such.

I haven't looked at a Tboard up close, but I am positive it can be with a little soldering...they sell tboards with eyes. That would be stupid to do that if you had to do a ton of modding to make it work.

If you change the stock board to a t-board it's easy. The eyes just plug into a jack on the new board.

lol...yea that was a pretty dumb question. Yes you have to drill holes for the eyes.
I wouldn't say it's impossible to add eyes to the stock board...but it would be very hard and time consuming. You would pretty much have to completely re-program it since the board isn't made for eyes...so it would still shoot when a paintball isn't completely in the breech or in at all because there is no programming on the board that tells it not to fire unless the eyes are tripped.
A t-board with eyes is like 60 bucks and like said before, the wires for the eyes plug right into a slot on the board. Since spyders are blowbacks, the faster you shoot, the more kick you will have. In the long run, you would be better off just saving the money and buying an electro pnuematic marker that comes stock with a decent board and eyes...such as an Ion and Promaster. They will both shoot much smoother than a Spyder or spyder clone since they don't have to operate at 500+psi.
