kick in a pilot

ive heard from someone that a spyder pilot has really bad kick and its hard to aim with it. is this true, and would getting a better bolt solve this problem.

The majority of spyders have a decent amount of kick, but it won't really affect your aim too much. But the pilot acs's already have a good bolt in it so i don't know what you would have to buy to reduce the kick.

Any blowback will have a decent amount of kick. It is because of the way they operate.

Also, any electric blowback will run on CO2 just fine.

Converting your spyder to LP will help with recoil issues. Also, a lighter delrin bolt and a lighter striker will lessen reciprocating mass, which is the cause of recoil in paintball guns.

Yea, i'm working on that right now. I've dropped the operating pressure down to 500psi and am using the light main spring and i already notice a reduction in kick. A lighter striker would improve that even more.

The kick in paintball guns is insignificant compared to real guns, but it is there. I never noticed how much kick my spyder actually had(it is LP BTW...still plenty of kick) till I shot my DM for a whole day, and then at the end of the day shot about 10 rounds through the spyder. It was crazy how much kick that thing had.

this is true. While in paintball terms it has lots of kick, compared to say a rifle or something, the kick is very low.

im getting my Pilot tommorow, but u gotta realize as well thats pressurized gas coming out of a barrel and into pipes its gonna kick back to have the force it needs to shoot a paintball where as mostly it doesn't have any at all because you can hold it steady so it is very small then nothing so basically u hold it tighter when u fire then loosen to move it'll lower..if not put a lighter striker. hope it helps
