Cupseal replacement question.

Anyone have any idea how to remove the stock cupseal from the valve pin, while still keeping both intact? I'm going to replace it with a delrin one to see if I get any difference in performance.

It's locked up pretty good. I don't want to take a lighter to it to get it loose, because it will melt the plastic part of the cupseal. I don't have a strap wrench, or a vise, so those options aren't available.

you can gently hold the pin with a pair of pliers and try to spin the cup seal off. Other than that, I can't really think of any other ways right now.

Hold the pin in pliers (scratching the pin won't matter) and use some rubber (something like latex gloves) to unscrew the cupseal. And btw replacing it with a delrin one will make no difference whatsoever performance wise. guranteed.

That's what I did.

And I wasn't looking for performance from the cupseal itself. I was doing it in conjunction with a wicked light valve spring in an attempt to convert my Xtra to low pressure, and have the least resistance and mass possible in my stock valve.
