rodeo/regulator problems

ok so i have a spyder rodeo that ive had for about six months and ive taken really good care of it. just a couple minutes ago i was trying to adjust the pressure in the regulator, i followed all the instructions (took out CO2 tank, screwed the little regulator screw all the way to the right, and then screwed the tank in, and then started screwing then regulator screw to the left). so all of a sudden the gun starts firing and burping (i had almost a full tank) and then the reg got all icy and cold. then it kept burping and firing (i never touched the trigger) until the tank was completely drained. can anyone explain why this might have happened/any advice?

I think we need more info.. I'd probably pull the grip off and check the spring that holds the sear in place.

basically i was trying to adjust the pressure in the regulator and then the gun started firing on its own. it then stopped and so i pulled the trigger to see if it was over its little spaz attack and it started firing againg like it does when its burping but it was almost like full auto (but im using a rodeo, which is just a mechanical) and then it kept firng and burping on and off without me pulling the trigger until the tank was drained. during this process it looked like the reg was frozen

i just recently took apart the gun and, as i was taking apart a little piece of o-ring was poking out of a hole next to the regulator. so i took apart the reg and there are two o-rings on the top of it... well one of them looked like it was about as twice as big as it was supposed to be so i have now replaced it

Do you only use paintball oil? Other lubes can damage o-rings.

ya i only use paintball oil... i think ive fixed the regulator problem, i replaced the o-rings and cleaned it up and now its working fine... the reason i was trying to adjust the reg was that my velocity is very low and is maxing out at only 200fps ( i have the knob cranked all the way to the right and the psi is at a good setting) what can i do to fix this?
