Smile Is a Spyder TL-R good?

Hey, I'm new to paintball and have much to learn. Whats your opinion about a Spyder TL-R. Whats the best brand of Paintball? And can I get them from Academy Sports? Thanks for the help.

Spyder TL-R is a good starting gun...would you be playing more woods ball or speed ball?

It is as good as any other spyder that is non-electric, also called mechanical.
Electric spyders are a step above that, being able to shoot more paint in the same amount of time.

Best brand in paintball? Depends on who you ask. It's kinda a "flavor of the week" deal with that question.

Yea, I read that one wrong.

There's still a lot of good brands though.

But in general, unless you have no choice, stay away from the cheap stuff that sits on the shelf for 4 months at a time.

well if you want a tl-r get an older model, the newer ones you have to change the grips if you want to add a reg and you dont want to put any extra in, but i would definatly suggest a tl-r for a starter gun

Theres no reason to add a reg to a spyder.

Scorch is decent for cheap paint. I had a Spyder Xtra for my starting gun. Spyders are decent guns to start off with. Good luck with ur Tl-r

Thanks for all the feed back. I don't think I've ever seen Monster Ballz. Have to look again. I'm fairly satisfied with that gun, I've had some luck with RPS Advantage Big Ball. Its pretty accurate. Thanks for the help again.
