I just got my new Pilot ACS in blue/black and Im now looking for some upgrades to do to it. I know I need a dye sticky grip, those stock ones blow. But, what barrel do most buy and any other mods that are real good for it. Im thinking about getting a Dye Ultralite barrel and a Ricochet APache LED hopper right now. Thanks for the advice.

Freak Jr's have really ugly tips and Im not really a fan of freaks.

Barrels kits are they way to go if have the cash/need for them. UL are nice barrels if you got the cash, so go for it.

I wouldnt buy an apache hopper. They arnt going to deflect ****, and look like **** and are just akward. I go with a revvy or step up to a halo b, reloader b, or vlocity. Evolutions are pretty much **** too.

Get hpa if you dont already.

Those are the basics anyway.

I think Im getting a UL barrel. But i like the style of the apache and it feeds the amount of balls I'll need so I think Im going that way.

eggs arnt that bad, but a halo or velocity does kick the crap out of em. dont mess with a revy or anything richochet.

Get a kit, the best style is a 3 peice becasue u only have to replace 1 part to use on a diff marker and you still have all the bores and tips.

Whats so mbad about the Apache??? Thats what I want to know. Im fine with a barrel at the moment because Im bying my older Freak Jr. back from my buddie. I may get an egg but I've heard bad things.

theres nothing wrong with it, but chances are, your going to be needing a faster hopper sooner than you think. And when it comes time to upgrade to a faster gun, your not going to enjoy shooting it with the apache, especialy if the new gun does not have eyes.

What have you heard about eggs? I have one, i'll let you know if its true or not.

Ive heard the battery door breaks and they eat up batterys. I also heard the door breaks also. Have you had any issues with yours?

With the old shell, there was a common problem when they first started making them with brittle shells, (my friend actualy had a hole shot in his.) But they started making thicker shells, doors lids and necks. All hoppers can (and do) crack and break, it helps if you dont abuse your equip. The lid was also redesigned completly.

After I bought the newer shells, i have had no problems and got shot 20+ times in the hopper repedativly from 20 feet. (stupid newbs....)

If you get an eggy, make sure its an eggy 3 (new shell and z board) and but it new.

I had my battery door shot off and my lid shot off and my shell broken before getting the 2nd gen shells and some times, it wasnt even from a hit...
