Knob on Imagine?

Im guessing that the knob with the set screw on the back on the Spyder imagine is for velocity. Mine is missing the set screw. Which way is stronger and which way is weaker? How do I set it so that I dont hurt someone with too much velocity?
thanks,
-d

in-higher velocity
out-lower velocity

they usually dont come with the set screw...you can buy it at a hardware store if you want it...

if you want the speed right, youll need a chronograph to get it 300fps or under. you can find a chronograph at a paintball field or maybe local shop.

So if I turn it all the way in will it be dramatically over 300 fps? Is it capable of a lot higher velocities than that? Is it safe to use without the chronograph?

it all depends on how your gun was made by the factory.. they're all different, you could buy 2 of them, and if you turned the knob all the way in on one it may be shooting 450 FPS while the other with the kob all the way in might not even be able to reach 250... the only true way to know is to actually go somewhere to chrono your gun, or buy one of them cheap little handheld ones and get somewhat of an idea of where you're shooting at..

ALL guns actualy DO come with the velocity set screw if you buy it new. It's not tournament legal with out it.

Turn the adjuster clockwise to increase velocity,
clockwise to decrease.

The only real way to set the velocity is by using a cronograph which can be found at your local feild, they dont charge you to use it.
But if you have enough teching exp, you can set it by feel sight. It's hard to do, so dont try.

As a general rule, a blowback can get up to speeds in excess of 450 FPS, it all depends on the pressure in your tank with can be affected by temp. your spring setup which is also DWELL adjustment to a certain extent.
