is it alright to use regular 9volts ?

lost the charger to my old imagine, stuck a reg 9 volt in and it works fine. but i thought i read some where you shouldnt use em. lmk thanks

yes, it's perfectly fine to use regular 9 volts in an imagine, it's all i use actually.

it depends on who you as as to what response you get.

in my experience:
older STOCK boards (pre camd) don't work well with the regular 9v a lot of the time.

newer camd boards and aftermarket boards work fine with regular 9v's. you wont get as long of battery life, but it's not that bad.

Yeah, i have like a 03 electra so it's got those older boards. Using a 9volt i get lots of skipped shots and it just doesn't behave very well. Won't shoot sometimes and just sucks.

We have a pretty new imagine around here, and it works perfectly fine with a regular 9 volt. Besides the extremely bright LED's.
