Spyder Types and differences...

Ok... I'm very tempted to by a spyder xtra, but then there is the tlr,tlx and victor(that i can think of). Now, what are the differences in these guns, as well as recommended purchase. I think the victor is the least expensive, so I also assume it is of the lowest quality. Another question... can you find old model spyders NEW? Meaning, is there a place to find 04,05,06 spyder models, that are unused, factor warranty, etc.... thanks much.

There's not a big difference with the xtra, tl-r and tl-x. The tl-r and the tl-x are '04 markers, and the xtra evolved each year since there (actually the body did).

The tl-r and the tl-x are really the same markers, exept for the body (the tl-r got an angle with the front grip, while the tl-x is straight).

I'd say go with the new Xtra, internals are the sames, exept it comes with a delrin bolt, so it's a bit lighter, a bit less kick, and doesn't require any lube on the bolt (still need lube on the striker).

2. There's not big possibilities to find old spyders models on the marker, exept for some refurbish, and maybe on ebay.

In the case of the Victor, the '07 comes with a delrin bolt, but there's no expansion chamber, no front grip, and no drop forward... which that means it will be harder to handle stock, and will have more velocity spikes. Also the Co2 will be able to come liquid in the gun, that's not a really nice thing.

Do not search farther, go with an Xtra, you will be just fine, and they can be find for really cheap.

hate to tell you this, but you could've gotten a victorII or an extra for $50-$60 and it's the exact same thing

well the grip and some of the parts on the victorII i dont like, and i really wanted an xtra actually, but just had alot of trouble finding one that wasnt the 07,06.... i dont like the new body as much on the xtra, and the camo annodizing on the rodeo looks nice... i got a 14" J&J S2 on the way to go with iy :P but i do appreciate that feedback, the xtra is what i really wanted
