Imagine hates HPA

I have an older imagine that runs great with a CO2 bottle on it but when I put my HPA tank on it the thing burps and spudders like mad. Yes the tank is full. The o-rings are new and lightly oiled. There is no blockage in the air system. The sear and striker are new. It always recocks after spuddering. It's set at 850psi. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried all kinds of spring combos both valve and drive springs. Should I open up the VA ports to allow more air? It also hates any remote line setup for some reason. I've never had a gun perform worse on a remote line. I'm stumped. Any insite or personal experience would be great. My last thought is that the crappy little expansion chamber is my problem.

the expansion chamber has a filter on it that may constrict the air, if you unscrew it, it should fall out. Try that.
other than that, I can't see what would cause it.

I thought the filter was the issue also but after removing it I saw no difference. Like I said, I'm stumped. I've never had this happen before. Everything else I've owned loves HPA over CO2. It's really odd. I have a crossfire 88/45 high pressure output. It keeps up with my other e-triggers no problem so I don't think it's a reg flow issue. Maybe I'll put my palmers on there as a second reg to see if it helps.

I put my palmers on it and it read 800 psi. Still spuddering. Is this wierd or what? I opened up the VA a bit and have no change. CO2 still does just fine though. I can't figure it out either. It must have a gremlin. Maybe HPA wronged in the past and it's holding a grudge. I'm not even trying to go LP with it. Well, I can always run CO2, and here I thought I was done with it.

My set up for my Imagine was Palmers Stailizer, Bob Long style VA with extra large volumizer, New Designz HP valve, Polished Internals, Scenario Dreams T-Board, I tried spring kits and shim kits i used delrin bolts and I could never get HPA to work correctly at any pressure from 350 to 800 psi. If I used Co2 I could get about 350 to 400 psi and the marker would work perfectly.

Figured it out. I took the expansion chamber off and opened up the VA some more. Then I put in a light valve spring and changed out drive springs until it fired correctly. FPS is at 285 now and no sputtering.
