Spyder Pilot ACS and Battery...

Ok, I bought my Spyder ACS used from a friend, who well is experienced, but uh, knows squat about paintball. The battery is came with wasn't in the best of shape, but I have used it for a more weeks after he sold it too me. Now its pretty much garbage, it won't recharge anymore, at all! He told me any battery is rechargable just buy a 9 volt one. Can I buy a standard 9 Volt battery and use it? Do I need a specifically named Rechargeable 9 Volt battery? Or should I buy a Kingman Rechargeable 9.6 Volt batter and where do I get one? I was so suppouse to go paintballing today but my gun won't shoot , I need your help PBF.

You can use a regular 9V to make the marker work. If you want you can go to Radio Shack or batteries plus and get the 9.6v for optimal performance. But in a pinch you can use a regular 9v.

How long do you think it will last on a 9 volt, like a day maybe?

Tried it today at the field, my battery was dead, as soon as I put it in! The guy at the field said not to put a 9volt battery in because it doesn't have enough amperage or something and can screw up my gun...
