feedneck upgrades?
I'm sick of how high my loader sits with this feedneck adapter. I'd like to get a clamping feedneck since two screws release the stock one on my Rodeo, that way i can shave an inch and a half off the height and change the center of gravity to make it a little less awkward. Is there a company that makes clamping feed necks for Spyders?

check out actionvillage.com, they'll have what you need. Be sure to get the tabbed feedneck, not the threaded one. You can cut down some of your hopper neck, but don't make it skinnier, that'll ruin the structural integrity of it.

I ended up finding a Trinity clamping neck at Splat Attack. New hopper is in the pipeline too.

here it is. Looks a lot better just with the black feedneck. It feels 100X better as well. The hopper fits snuggly in the top so there's no more side to side play so angling left/right around bunkers isn't a constant question of "at what point will i hear a crack and lose my ammo". It doesn't swivel anymore because of the tighter fit so there's no worry about having to turn it towards you to reload. and the best part is, it shaved an inch and a half off the height.
The only real downside is, i can't see the last ball drop out of the hopper. Not that i noticed with the clear adapters anyway. all in all, it was the best 25 bucks i've spent on the sport since getting my marker. I encourage all Spyder users to get one of these before doing anything else. they are cheap, and easy to install.
next up: paintjob.

not really, it was still on the first page i think. It's a fairly valid question too, shorter feednecks do tend to cause more chops when using a gravity hopper. this is because there's not a large stack of balls waiting to get in the breach.

even with a revy. It's only agitated and relies on gravity to get the paint from the stack to the breach

I see your point, but with a nice hopper, chopping should go down.

you can pick up a used viewloader evolution for dirt cheap these days. but be warned: they only feed a consistant 13 or 14 pbs no matter what the adds about them say. Depending on what generation of them you get, you coudl also get one with weak plastic.
