Question Non tourny legal trigger on vs3?

So I was asking about the vs3 and vs2 before, and some one told me the trigger on the vs3 isnt tourny legal. So instead i should get a vs2. I decided a new gun and now my friend is having the same problem lol. We noticed that the vs3 said it had a tourny lock freature on it.. so whats up with the trigger? Thanks.

It's becuase the VS3 has two points of contacts for the trigger and not just one. Besides that, the VS3 is just a VS2 with the rocking trigger... Way too expensive IMO, so the VS2 will do you guys just fine.

it said that the vs3 shoots up to 30 bps and the vs2 goes up to 25 is that just cuz of the trigger, and hes not gonna go do any tournies plus on amazon its only like 30 bux more for the vs3, but i wanna know if the tourny lock makes the trigger tourny legal so that he can use it

the gun is tournament legal as sold. The issue of 2 contact points is commonly mistaken to make it illegal however as 1 trigger pull results in 1 shot the gun is legal in tournament play.

Hmmm... then why do some tourneys not allow it? Is that just a myth? Well, i don't like the rocking trigger anyways, and even if it's only $30 more, thats still potential money that could be saved :P

I'd just go for the VS2

I would think that the trigger not being tourney legal is a myth. There is a semi-only tourney mode where it is still one shot per trigger pull. Its no difference then walking a standard trigger, and unless you are using a ramping mode, then it is legal.

I would contact whatever tourney series you want to play and get a copy of their official rules. That way you can look at the marker specific rules and plan accordingly.

However, if you are just playing at a local field's tourneys, then you should have no problem whatsoever using it. It would be CFOA, PSP, NPPL, etc. that you might have a problem with.

With the VS2 you know you will be legal to play in a tourny no matter what the rules are. If the rocking trigger was being widely accepted in tournys and worked that much better other manufactures would be using them as well, I would think. With a normal trigger you are safe no matter what.
