I want to up my VS1 to low pressure does any body have a good list of parts to use. Like the AKA bolt, what reg ?, ASA ? and valve. If you have done this, maybe some part numbers. I know it would be cheaper to just buy a new gun, but I'm trying to built a hot ass sleeper out of my walmart looking vs1. I already have a 14" JJ fulltilt and a Tadao Board and a Fatsa Hopper. Paintball guns are not a whole lot like cars unfortunately, the performance increase you will get from spending the time and money to make it LP will be negligible. In the end it won't even be really LP by most players standards, unless you completely gut it and essentially turn it into an intimidator.

If still intend on going through with it:
-A new bolt will be needed.
-A new hammer/striker along with new springs.
-A new valve.
-An expansion chamber (note: the kind that fits on or even replaces the front block, not the vertical -kind that acts as fore-grip; you will need that "slot" for the regulator)
A regulator will be needed but that in itself doesn't make it capable of operating at a lower pressure, it just makes sure it can do it properly once you've installed the above. ASA's do not affect how it operates either, you can just get one with an on/off knob to make gassing/de-gassing your gun easier and save your tank o-ring from some wear and tear.

The only reason I want low pressure is to reduce the ocassional ball break, my son has a VS2 and were always using the same high quality balls like ramp or origin tourney's and I will usally get a couple of breaks during the day and he gets none. I use HPS and the jj barrel I have has more clearance than his stock, so I figure going low pressure is the only thing I can do. I will most likely buy a different gun, either the RSX or an etek2. The only reason I bought the VS1 vs VS2 is at the time I didn'y know I could get HPA in my area, I was wrong. - Jim

To reduce ball breaks the best thing would be to upgrade the board and use a faster hopper. An ACS bolt might help too.

I have the tadao baord and the 18v fasta hopper, what advantage would the ACS bring vs the stock derlin bolt ? also if I was using orion balls would the higher end "tourney" ball be less likely to break vs the cheaper orion ball or is it the other way around. - Jim

Fastas are ok but less consistent than other high end hoppers in my experience.

I'm not familiar with that paint, but generally speaking cheap low end balls are designed to be used in cheaper low end guns that run at high pressures. This means the shells tend to be thicker. There are exceptions to this though, there are some cheap balls that are just crappy and break in everything. I'm most familiar with RPS/PMI/Evil paints, which tend to be pretty good.
