Pilot ACS parts help
I got my kid one of these guns. It sure seems to be a step up from our JT Tac 5's.
Anyway, we had shot it around the yard some without any problems. But when we were setting up to play last weekend, we could hear a small leak. I found a leak at the elbow between the compensating chamber and the braided supply line. I had some Teflon tape with me, so I took it apart and reassembled it. Threading the hose back onto the bottom of the elbow was very problematic. I don't know if I crossthreaded it at the start, or possibly put the elbow in backwards, or what, but the end result is that the threads on the elbow are mangled, the little plastic washer inside the end of the supply line is toast, and it leaks MUCH worse than it did when I started.
I have been on probably 15 different websites looking for these parts. I think that I have found the braided line on paintball-parts.com, but I can't find that elbow.
Does anyone know of a place to get it, and also, does anyone have an idea what I might have done wrong?

you could have cross-threaded it if it gave you that hard of a time.
The problem with those things is that they're metric threads, unlike any other marker. As youv'e discovered they're nearly impossible to find
You could always buy a new expansion chamber(or as you say, air compensator.)If i read it right that's where the problem seems to be.

If it's your gas thru grip, I have a spare in my sig that I can let go for cheap.
The color may not match, but if the vertical adaptor is standard threaded, than it will work.

Doing some more digging around.
I have seen some adapters that are supposed to go from the metric threads to 1/8" NPT threads. Is it possible that I could use those, then an 1/8" elbow, then a standard hose? Of course, then I would need one at both ends of the line.

Yup, but you're going to need to use loctite or whatever kind of sealent you chose on all the joints, and you must also rememer that the more parts you have, the more that can go wrong.
Besides that, you should be fine

OK, one last question, and then I promise to leave you guys alone. At least for a little while.
I have been thinking about this, and it seems that once I put the adaptors in, it will be very tight trying to get a standard braided line onto the fittings. So, I am considering using macro line adaptors and macro line.
Does macro line hold up well? Or am I heading in the wrong direction?
