Anti siphon

os their much of a point of putting an anti siphon on my 20 ounce tank if i only have a spyder electra? And where does the liquid go when it is taken out of the air?

actually, anti siphonage would make your gun MORE consistent, therefore easier to chrony. although, what type of tourney player uses co2 anyway (i'm sure nick knows of a type of tournament when co2 is always used, i'm talking about speedball tournaments).

The liquid isnt taken out of the air, the liquid expands into a gas which is what powers the gun.

The anti-syphon is cheap, and it helps your consistency alot. Don't do it yourself, unless you are very handy, though! Even though you are only using a spyder, consistency still helps. Consistency=Accuracy.

Yea go with it, its a good upgrade. The tube and fitting screwed in the tank valve and is bent upwards to suck out the gas while the liquid stays at the bottom of the tank. This will help consistency, dampen the noise and get rid of most of the "snow flakes" that you might have without it. Its only about $5-10 for the tube and fitting and then $15-$20 for installation and make sure its by an air smith or someone who knows what their doing from a pro shop. Don't do it yourself, the valve is on extremely tight with red loctite and is very very difficult to get off and you could ruin the whole tank if something goes wrong not to mention the valve flying off when the tank is full.

Keep in mind too that an Anti-syphon won't do much to help if your tank is already angled down. Even when the tank is filled to it's max rated weight, much of the volume in the tank is gas. With the downangle ASA or dropforward you wouldn't be sucking liquid anyways.

He said he has an Electra which has a bottom line with a foregrip and an inline regulator so the tank being vertical instead of horizonal shouldnt be an issue. But your right it wont help much if its vertical becuase the liquid co2 stays at the bottom of the tank.

I never acctually had any anti siphoning on any of my electras. I never realy needed it and I just got a reg. They help the consistency alot to. Theres alot of cheap regs out there to that preform VERY well for the price.
