full auto 13 pbs
guys if any of you shoot 13 bps would you take out ur bolt and look inside of ur gun and tell me if you see any big scratches starting? because every time i shoot like that it happends. i mean full auto is addicting to me. because its so easy to hit someone with it.
another thing. ive had my electric trigger for about a year and a half and never used the 3 or 6 shot mode. does anybody use that? and have you had good experiance with it because im thinking about giveing the 3 shot mode a try.

I'd stop using full auto... gotta learn to walk someday. Plus, not fair to those tippy-users.
All Spyders get scratches. Read the Spyder Basics at www.ottersccustoms.com
If I use auto, I use 3-shot. Otherwise, I'll spray so much, you can actually see my wallet shrinking. I only use full-auto when I'm showing off.

Anything more then a couple of PBs is usually useless unless you are trying to hit a moving target. People are less likely to duck from 1 or 2 shots then they would be if they hear 10 coming at them. You might have better luck shooting less as long as you improve your accuracy through aiming practice. Also it really doesn't take many to keep someone pinned down. Personally I would be more intimidated by someone shooting at my bunker sporadically and randomly then if they were hosing it.

If your playing back and you need to use a case to help your fronts move then yea it's worth it.
Also, unless your scared of being hit, it's not just the fact of being intimadated, it's the fact of not being able to move. It be easier to move when 2 or 3 balls here and there come at you then it would if there were a whole hopper.

Actually, that's a common fallacy. It takes <7 bps to cover an entire lane effectively. ~10 bps to to cover a 15 ft by 15 ft box effectively. By effectively, I mean the fastest sprinters in the world, somehow flying and dodging your paint would have 0% chance of going through your lane. It would be less, but we counted in inaccuracy (sp?) and other such human errors.
The high bps for intimidation, and intimidation only.

I guess our perspectives are a lot different since I usually play rec-ball in the woods. I agree that it is easier to move with less balls coming towards you but my main point is that it is unnecessary to fire long streams, which would be used for movers, at a bunker someone is hiding in to keep them tucked down. Some of my easiest eliminations were one shot aimed affairs that took people by surprise. By walking a ribbon of paint towards someone they usually have time to duck. Most people won't duck a single paintball since they don't know who's name is on it.

full auto on an imagine doesnt do 13bps, it does about 9, and to stop the scratching just polish you internals, it is actually more usefull to learn to walk yyour trigger because you cant use full auto in tornaments

Polishing the internals won't stop the stratching though. If it gets to you that bad, buy a delrin/or nylatron bolt. Bandits are really nice.

im realy paranoid about the scratching because when i had my spyder compact shooting full auto it would scratch a little but one day it made like a realy realy deep scratch and the gun would jam all the time and the bolt would be like clipped on the inside of the gun... but the thing is that compact was alrdy a year old when i got the electro trigger. so the question is was that just a freek insident. like 1 in a million

I have never used fully auto. I can shoot just as fast semi. I never get scratches though. Only in my electra and thats it. But that is because I let my freinds brother borrow it which was stupid and he didnt oil it. So it got scratches. Other then that none of my guns have that. Try polishing the internals. If you allready did re sand the bolt and polish it again. That should help.

The scratches don't have much to do with full auto. The scratches come from sharp edges inside the bolt way, either from a poorly radiused feed port or protruding feed neck screws.
Polishing out the scratches only removes the evidence, but does not do much for the underlying problem.

Not always.....nobody is ALWAYS right.
Some scratching will be normal. I had scratching on my spyder compact and a little on the e99. The compact was mech, so it isnt just firing fast that does it, it is a flawed design. Polishing the internals made it stop right away and I havent had any trouble with it since.

The polishing helps smooth out the rough edges on the bolt and will therefore almost eliminate the scratches. IF you do it right it will eliminate the underlying problem.

Yep im not always right . I still make some mistakes here and there.
yeah but sanding the bolt helped me alot. The polishing made it more smooth. Worked VERY well for me. Of course you could always get a aftermarket bolt. They ussually come nice and smooth anyway.

If you polish enough to remove the scratches, all you have done is remove enough metal so that the cause, the sharp edges inside the body, no longer have anything to scratch. The root cause is still there.

That's partially to blame, but the root cause of the scratching is because of the design of the striker/bolt pin. When the striker moves forward and pulls the bolt pin from the bottom it gives rotational push, causing the front of the bolt to rotate up. Since it has to pass the feedport this causes an impact which creates the scratches. It's a pretty poor design.

And the fact that they are produced in mass numbers and pretty much each bore size of the inside body is different, thats why when you want a real custom fit bolt they need your marker to get the correct bore size, they cant just take it as its an Imagine or its an E-99 and we got the chart for it.
