spyder isnt working. it keeps on farting.

well i know farting may sound like a seriously strange name but you know when you run out of air it makes that weird farting noise. but anyway, i just got my HPA filled and everytime i put it on my spyder it dont work. it does the farting thing. so i tried it with C02 and it still didnt work. i tried it with my tippy and it works fine with both of them. whats the problem?

oh and sorry that this is in the wrong forum but i just typed it all up 0?

Take your bolt out, replace any worn o-rings then clean it and oil it up.

There you go, fixed.

well, replacing a striker o-ring with a tank o-ring won't work, and i assume you did so since you didn't know what it was. the striker is the metal cylinder under the bolt.

also, check your sear, it may be to worn to catch the striker.

Make sure the chamber is clean. Clean it up real good and make sure the bolt is clean too.

where the grip frame is connected to the frame
behind the grip and stuff there should be a vertival screw that screws up ^
if its missing that might be a problem .....
probly not but might as well check

Striker is the metal thing.. Field strip it, and its the metal thing in the bottom of the tubes.

If all that dosn't work then try the Orings on the valve or the cup seal. Usually a small leak can lead to the burping. Its also possible that the fittings might be a little loose so some air escapes which would also contribute to the burping. However thats very unlikely. The orings should be the only explentation.

You wouldn't happened to have put the striker buffer in front of the striker would you? Wouldn't be the first time somebody had done it.

Try the cup seals. Field strip the gun and check every o-ring.

Do you have a regulator on the Spyder? Maybe the pressure is turned too low. If not it sounds like what destructo said about the striker buffer. Make sure it's on the spring side of the striker. One other possibility although small, is that there is an obstruction in the airways somewhere. Disconnect the tube from the ASA and remove the Vertical adapter. It's right below the barrel. Be careful not to lose the cupseal, pin, and valvespring. Try blowing through to see if air flows easily. There might be a little bit of resistance depending on your model and if it has an inline filter. Also look through the valve body in the gun, you should be able to see through it to the striker area. If this is all clear maybe the problem lies with your ASA. You didn't say which kind of Spyder you have. Does it have an aftermarket dropforward on it? Are you sure the CO2 tank's pin is being depressed? When gassing up can you hear the air rushing into the gun for a sec to charge it up? Are you using the stock springs?
We might be able to help you more if you could give us more info.

There's a reason that it's defective and it's probably easily fixable. I am kinda curious what it could be. Might as well take it back though since you have the receipt.

Im callign shens on that too. Its impossible for shell to go backwards into the home.. First of all, it would take a frickin genious for it to go behind the striker... Second, to get it past the cup seal would take a moron. And for a piece of shell to go through the tiny hole in the vertical ASA into a 1/8" steel hose, which is puttig about 850+PSI of pressure in the opposite direction would take a bozo.

Im glad your banned. Good times... This up is for history. We can never forget morons like this. Teach the newbs to not act like this nub.
