Home Modifications

I am making this thread for new ppl useing Spyder markers and would like 2 know which upgrades they should get, well they can look here for some:

Modifications:

Change Your Stock Bolt Into An AKA Lighting Bolt -

You must first remove the venturi bolt from your marker, why do this? Well removing this squeeses every ounce out of your marker without hurting it at all. It also uses less air to operate your marker. The Venturi is the star shaped thing inside ur bolt, u can see it by un-screwing your barrel and looking into your marker. Now in order to remove it you must disammemble your mark untill u have the bolt out, then remove the o-rings with something sharp, but make sure u don't break it.

1. Make sure all the o-rings are removed and get a paper towel and wipe off any oil that's on your bolt.

2. Now take a lighter/candle and light it, then find the hole under your bolt where the gas leaves, now put your bolt 2-3 inches from your source of heat and make the flame barely enter the hole (Black burn marks may appear, but does nothing to your marker)

3. Hold it there for about 5-10 mins, also it may start getting hot so u might wanna use a napkin or a towel. Now after 5-10 mins has passed get out some long nose pliers and try to grip to Venturi and twist it out counter-clockwise, it may be hard but keep trying.

4. Once u get it out then you won't need it anymore, so do what ever you want with it. Now get some sanding paper and on the side of your bolt where it cushions the p-ball through the barrel, u will notice it's square like, use the sandpaper and make it as a cup, thus has "less" p-ball breaks.

5. Now add the o-rings back on and add some oil to your bolt before putting it back, make sure u take your trigger frame off beacuse the bolt won't go back in without the trigger frame being removed.

Polishing The Internals -

Now sometimes your bolt will recieve stress from time to time and may even scratch badly! So remove your bolt once again and take off the o-rings and wipe off the oil.

1. Get some high grit sandpaper (Around 1k) and sand only the OUTSIDE of the bolt. Try to sand mostly anything that has contact with the metal and it must rub/move together.

2. Wipe off and dust and extra particles. Then get some metal polish (I recommed "Mother's Mag") and use circular motions to polish it good.

3. After that great a shotgun rod or your own squggie and polish the inside of the bolt. Then get a rag and dry the whole thing well so nothings wet.

4. Put back on your o-rings and re-add oil again

Troubleshooting:

Bolt Jam - Sometimes you may out shoot your hopper and a p-ball gets caught in the bolt and the hopper feed so it chops it in half. First de-gas your marker and then remove the barrel and look down at your bolt, bingo....there's your problem now get a squggie and run it though and try to crush the p-ball into small pieces. Then use some water... if it does not come out then re-gas your marker and start shootng dry and it will fall/shoot out. (To prevent this condiser buying an electric hopper)

Other -

Loud Marker.... this may be because of your barrel, Spyder's are know to be loud when their stocked, so get a new barrel...possiably 12"

i've heard somewhere that by putting spacers inbetween the frame and the body of a mech, it'll shorten the pull, it works. just make sure the space isn't to far, otherwise the sear won't catch the hammer.
