workin on my spyder xtra

ok so im workin on my spyder xtra right now...i just got the freak barrel system in and im waiting for the new esp trigger frames to come out for the spyders, then ill get a supafly bolt, halo b, and i was lookin at the cp regs, they look awesome and ive heard some good stuff about em, but for instance on xpaintball they dont say whether the threading is brand specific or not...im just curious as to if that is a universal thing like air tanks or if there is in fact different threading...if so then ill be getting the cp reg. also does it come w/ the hoses and little things like that or do i have to order those separately... also people talk about their lp spyder..i guess it has to do w/ the cocking system from the context of the threads...i have no idea what that is and i may sound like a huge newb, but i kinda got back into paintball recently so the technology and such got ahead of my while i took a break...
also any recommendations on what else to do to my gun will be more than welcome!

well thanks for bearing with all my questions in advance

LP means low pressure, meaning they used a regulator and highflow parts to run the pressure around 350-500 psi.

You're putting like $400+ worth of ups on a $75 marker? I think you might be better off just getting hpa and the halo, then saving up for a better marker. The tank and the hopper will still work for your next marker, so you can carry them over. I own an Xtra too, and though I like it, if I had that kind of money to dump into it, I would probably pick up a bko or an impulse.

well, i would just get a new gun except i am not sure if im gonna be playing much longer simply because of this

a friend of mine who basically heads it is going to college about 5 hours away and so he obviously cant get people together to go...the other friend of mine who is one of the people who rounds people up to go paintballing goes to a boarding school like 3 hours away and only occaisonally comes home. the people left over only like woodsball and i dont really feel like buying an 800 dollar marker for occaisonal woodsball. im gonna wait it out and see how many people will be left over for speedball.

chillin,
whats up, I have an Xtra and am doing many mods to it. I would concider myself low pressure. Many people say " why spend 400 on a 75 gun" This is what you do, dont go crazy spending money on the gun itself but get parts that will be upgrades on most mid range guns.

\For example I bought,
nitro duck 68/4500 xstream tank
palmer fatty reg and macroline kit
nice drop with universal mounting
and now I am looking for a hopper (had reloader too slow getting egg2)

for the gun I bought
used lightning bolt
and rocketvalve.

The point is I spent very little on the gun itself and everything else I have can be moved onto my next gun. I reconmend doing the same.
