to cover eyes on the gun so that the wire isnt exposed I think.

ya, they cover the eye wire w/ a plastic or metal cover to hold it in place.

They are made so no dirt can get onto to the eyes themselves helping them work better. They keep them alligned with one another. They also keep the wires hidden so they are protected from damage. And they look cool.

eyes are a system on some electronic guns that will prevent the marker from firing if there is no ball in the breach. once the beam from the eyes is broken, the gun will fire.

There are boards that come with eyes for spyders. The T board comes with eyes but you have to install them yourself. http://www.ottersccustoms.com/t-board.html go there to read about the T board and how to install the eyes. You can buy the t board
