Grips are purely for looks...besides being comfortable. I recomend geting a reg then hpa then a new board mabe, a drop, stickys, and mabe a better hopper.

Tizbitz probably meant the Imagine Select. I really think you newbies should check out KingFikiElectra's thread about building the ultimate Spyder. There are endless amount of possibilities. Personally, I already have some mods on my Imagine (as you can see in my sig) and I plan on adding a Spudnuk'l non-venturi delrin/nylatron (don't know which one is better) bolt, CIP 15-degree assault block, Dye sticky grips, a different board (don't know what's out there), and most likely a Freak barrel kit. I'm also thinking about "The One" kit. It also wouldn't hurt to have a Halo or Reloader B (is one really better than the other?) with my new board.

I should probably add some more stuff to the sticky so everyone goes to it instead of making new threads. O well.
Im sure veryone has allready reccomended a regulator and a good barrel but u also would eventually need a good valve. The valve is my personal favorite upgrade. There are a variety to choose from. If u are on a budget the magna port valve works very well but if u are a high roller then get the tornado or the rocket valve. Both are arond 60$.
