low pressure is just hype basically (i'm pretty sure) there used to be sticky's on it, but lp basically was supposed to make a gun run more efficiently, but is basically justa a gas hog, and inconsistant.... that's pretty much a cheap lp system like something on a spyder, or other low end guns... i think the lp systems for higher end guns are a lot different.

High pressure is good, because it is more gas efficient, and more consistant you'll most likely get less shootdown with hp, but i'm not 100% sure.... hope this helped a little bit, please correct me if i'm wrong though ppl.....

O man....

Ok...

Lp= Consistent, quiet, easy on the internals and "pushes" the paintball with a steady smooth puff of air rather then the High pressure Pop noise that slams the ball and occasinally breaks them.

HP= Consistent and air efficent. Loud however more reloiable and u dont starve your internals. Its cheaper. More economical. Practical. And if u arnt into paintball that much its the best way to go. U get slightly more chops if u use crap paint and the accuracy (im pretty sure but not positive on this) is slightly reduced since it is more of a pop and not a smooth push of air like LP is.

I use both LP and HP. I have 11 guns and 4 are Lp and 7 are HP. Im happier with my LP guns. I dont notice a dramatic change in effeciancy loss. Acctually I dont really notice it at all. I know its there though but I never keep track of how many shots I take so its no big deal for me. And its also well worth the sweet sound it makes that I think is awsome. Putting alot of money in a gun is a beautiful thing. U make a thing of beauty that sounds and preforms as well as it looks. When u have evrything tuned correctly LP is not that bad IMO.

Hp is also nice. With the rest of my guns I get better efficency (I dont notice it LoL). Its alot cheaper and more practical to do. Although loud its gaurenteed u will have enough air to shoot. Occasinally with LP, since u starve the reg and all, occassinally ur gun wont recock when u begin lossing air. So its pretty bad in that sense. HP ensures that u wont have recoking issues to LP issues and not enouh air to recock the gun.

Furthermore the debate between the 2 is stupid. Really its just prefrence. I prefer LP because its quieter and I get less ball breaks. My accuracy is good and I like the way it sounds. Thats my reasoning but if I had to pick between the 2 I wouldnt care. The diffrences in efficency are pretty small for me to notice and for most. I think that anyone who choses LP will be happy. Its not bad in the slightest. Hp is good to, once u start experementing with them u will notice u prefer one over the other but its not like black and white kinda thing. Ur prefrence will most likely will be small. Since u will have to spend alot of money that kinda cancels out the advanteges and HP is kinda loud and chops a bit so either way u have disadvanteges and advanteges. But since im loaded I like LP Lol.

when i had my spyder i had it setup for low pressure... i preferred it to HP because, as KingFiki said, quieter, and easier on paint. And more consistant too, but that was because i had a regulator, and i didnt have one before with the HP setup.

Your basic spyder can be dropped down to run in the 300-400 psi range easily, and if you set-up the springs properly you'll get good effiancy, less kick(which is the only way LP helps accuracy), and less shootdown(better flowing internals). LP doesn't help ball breaks(if you want to debate that AGD has down alot of research there), but it can be a factor in the sound of your gun.
