Well for wooded areas that would be very good i think. Its mech just like the other spyders. But, if you wanted an electro, then get the imagine, but if you play alot of woods, theres always the chance of maybe messing it up or something. But imo, i guess the TL-R is a good beginner gun. Btw, are you going to get that package?

Hello
That a nice starter kit, but if you ask me you should either start out with a Xtra or a Imagine (I recommend the Imagine). The imagine is electric btw

Imagines are overrated and everyone has one. Get something different. At my field I always see 5-6 Imagines. All spyders work the same but there are 2 "classes" Electric and Mechanical. The electric guns shoot faster, have lighter trigger pull, and shoot with a solenoid. The Mechanical guns have long trigger pull, slower, and the gun fires by just the sear tripping, there is no solenoid involved. I'd get an electric spyder ( Electra, pilot, Imagine..whatever you want). But with an electric spyder you need an electric hopper: Revlution 12 volt or Evlution II by viewloader. Both feed fine since spyders don't outshoot 14 BPS. All spyders are good beginner guns so that pretty much sums everything up.
