It'll be just fine. You won't notice any difference in your guns performance apart from needing to turn your velocity screw out a little bit to fire the same velocity. The main gain from removing the venturi is to help get a lower pressure gun firing close to 300fps. The worst damage you want to be careful about is the lip on the front of the bolt and just inside the lip. You don't want any jagged edges there since the PBs are going to be hit by it pretty hard. If you do accidently scuff it up or worse have a burr there make sure to sand it smooth with fine sandpaper.
