Bolt double-cycling.
Before you direct me to the FAQ stickied to the top of the forum, I already read the section concerning this problem and it's still happening.
The other day I was at a game and my gun was performing perfectly. It's a Spyder E99 Avant, for the record. It was working fine, just as it had worked fine the day before when I tested it.
About 3/4 of the way through the day, though, the gun started to fire two quick cycles for every few trigger pulls. It appeared to be completely random, because other shots were fine. The double cycling led to ball breaks and recocking problems, as one would expect.
Now, my gun had had this problem before. I assumed it was my tank, and frankly at this point that's the only other thing I can think of. As I was testing it the day before, though, I found it would double-cycle occasionally, so on a hunch I took off the expansion chamber and put the CO2 directly to the vertical threading. After that, I fired 200 rounds on full auto without a problem.
As I said, the problem didn't arise until later in the day. To be fair, I think there was a ball break around that time, and that might have been the cause of the problem. Except, just today, I disassembled my gun, wiped all the parts, oiled the o-rings, and reassembled it. The problem is still happening, even when dry firing, which is why I'm led to believe it's my tank. Frankly, I'm PRAYING it's my tank, because that's as simple as buying a new one. I'm thinking I'll just take it to an airsmith or something, but if anyone here as any input I'd appreciate it. There's nothing worse than being unsure of your weapon in combat.

i'm going to guess that your battery was low. this slowed down the solenoid, therfore slowing down the sear, therfore not allowing it to catch the hammer, therefore making it double cycle. spyders can do that also when they reach high rates of fire in semi auto mode. they don't it full auto mode, though, because the sear comes up at the right time.

you might have been having pressure problems with the tank, if itbwas the end of teh day the tank was probobly low, and when its low it loses pressure, and then the bolt has trouble recocking, and only the sear catches partially, pushing the bolt forward, try filling yuour tank and trying again

Did u "click" the gun alot. Like just turn it on and shoot? JW.
if not what Outlaner said then my guess would go to the sear being worn down a bit. Because thats happebned to a few of us b4. Also There was a problem very similar to this a while ago. hmmm. Was the tank full or low? I really doubt its the tank because they are pretty simple in design and nothing really can go wrong with it.
