if you can i'd say get a new gun, you most likely wont regret it... it all depends on how well you can take care of your stuff, and how knowledgeable you are about the higher end guns... in the end it's all up to you...

yeah go with whats best for you, like stated about, learn about the gun you are wanting the care required for it and all and then purchase it. If you don't want to do that then blow some more money on the spyder. I keep a few around to tinker with all the time. The one kit is expensive, its not gonna make your spyder an impulse no. It'll make it closer to one I guess in technical aspects but its still not gonna perform the exact same way. I would look around at guns before just deciding on impuse though there are alot in that range, i.e. bko's, AkA's, and others I'm sure.
edit-sorry I'm not listing all the guns I can't think been up to long and have a nephew in town who is already making me tired.

If you have the money for the new gun then go in that direction, or do what I did. I cant afford a new gun right now so I have been buying upgrades that I can use on my next gun. ex. 68/4500psi nitroduck tank, macroline kit, universal drop, universal clamp feedneck, fatty reg, and egg2.
All of these items will make my next gun better and until I have the money for a new gun my gun is rockin.
I wouldnt do more than a bolt, and barrel for the spyder.

both bko's and imps are better than all mech cockers in your price range. and the imp is a little better than a bko. also they are more expensive. just remeber, if you buy an imp, make sure it's a vision imp, so you don't chop.
