Ok, I have a problem and I dont know how to fix or whats wrong.

Whenever there is a ball in the barrel to shoot the gun works fine. However, whenever a ball is not in the chamber the gun sputters and uncocks, like its out of air, even when its not. This was not happening until recently and i dont know how to fix.

If you know how to fix, or even what is wrong i would really appreciate it.

bad striker o-ring. wouldn't worry about it if that's not it, as long as you can fire paintballs.

my only guess would be to check all the orings. Then check to see if the detent is dirty (the thing that holds the balls) then see if there are any scratches around the feedncek or what not. Then try oiling the gun. That should do it but u never no.

Well, actually, i have an older spyder compact that does the same thing, but i dont care so much about that gun, im gonna try putting teflon tape on the connection points.

NOW THE ****IN THING WONT STAY COCKED AT ALL AND THE BALLS COME OUT REALLY SLOW!!!

which o rings need to be replaced????

striker o-ring, and it now sounds like you don't have enough operating pressure. fill up your tank.

Sounds like a sear/striker/spring problem if it wont stay cocked. mech or electric?

i have that problem with my victor...its the striker...i havent replaced it but as long as one ball is in the "chamber' its ok.

well now the ****ing thing isnt even burping, its just poping once and staying uncocked. I dont know what the hell to do and I'm supposed to play on sat.

Damn thing was working fine until a couple days ago and now its ****ed.

Same problem with my E99 I added a reg and it did nothing thren I polished the internals...Nothing. Then I cleaned the ball detent and checked the valve....Nothing.... Bolt and striker both oiled and fully maintained and all Orings checked and cleaned....nothing.... This is one of those problems where im overlooking something either really unoticable or really miniscual so its freakin hard.

Heres the update:

After a change of valve and striker o rings the gun now fires, somewhat. I dont know if the O ring for the striker is the same size as the O rings for my tank but those are the ones i used.

So, if there is a ball to be shot the gun will shoot it. But it seems to be loud and the balls are curving alot, and i have a freak so they shouldnt be this much. However, if there is no ball in the barrel, or sometimes even where there is, the gun goes in machine gun mode for like 5 shots and then uncocks.

If anyone knows whats wrong now or how to fix please let me know a.s.a.p. I want to use it Sat. the 14th.

Clean the valve very well. And the gun should have came with replacment Orings. try diffrent ones.

I think the ones on the valve are good. I'm just questioning the one on the striker. I think it may be too small.

Also, I cant understand why the balls are curving so much. I thought it might be turned up too high but when i turned it down it didnt help.

Thats really weird. Well u r using good paint right?And the barrel is clean right? And the chamber is clean to with a good paint to barrel match? As far as the orings go take one off the bolt since those arnt really crucial. And u can live without them for a game or 2. And put that on the Oring since that are rougly the same size. Dont shoot the gun anymore without doing that first because u may be scrathing the insides.

New update:

Purchased a new O ring made for the striker. Now it will shoot and stay cocked even without a ball, most of the time. But it still sounds very loud are every few shoots it burps. Slowly getting better but not yet perfect. I, however, am completely out of ideas on what the fix next.

I am going to play tomarrow and hopefully the guys at the field will know.
