Imagine: Safe Operating Pressure?

Right now I have an 04 imagine with a progressive barrel and a 32 degrees LPC. I also drilled out the va, expansion chamber, and did alot of work to the bolt. I want to switch from co2 to HPA in a few weeks and was wondering this: If I get the preset crossfire 68/4500, the high pressure one, will it be safe to run the gun at the preset 800 psi for about a month until I get an inline regulator?

Yes, it will work fine. You could probably get an LP tank, but then you could risk starving your gun of air. The HP tank will work on your gun fine. It would work even if you hadnt done any of the work. You will not need a regulator on your gun for the tnak to work, though i highly suggest that you should still get one.

Yes I plan to get a crossfire 70ci 4500 with a nice dropforward with an on/off asa in a week or two. Then in another month look for a regulator and maybe a new valve, then try to run the gun in the 450 - 500 psi range.

The average output of a CO2 tank is about 800psi, so it will cause no problems running a HPA tank with an output of 800psi. HPA reg manufacturers didn't pull the 800psi figure out of their butts, it was to replicate CO2, so folks could switch over without any hassles.
