Spyder decison...?
Hello all, im new into the sport of paintballing, and am into the market of buying a marker package, im gunna be getting it on ebay, cuz its the cheapest canadian selling site...if that made sence, lol
any ways, im looking at either a XTRA or Victor II, i may even consider the TL-x, but thats a little out of my price range, my main concern is accuracy at stock, later on i will be getting a new barrel, but thats later on... so out of the 3, what one has the best accuracy, and if any one has tested these, what are the shot groupings at 100 feet and such
thanks all, ive also read from here(or maybe another forum!?) that all spyder mechs are the same at stock, help me clarify this, as all im looking for is decent accuracy at stock,
Thanks All, Vip3r87

Out of those 3 I would go with the xtra. It is cheap and is not entirely platic like the Victor 2. They all will preform the same though. Identically the same. I think it would be wise to get a new barrel now. A proggressive barrel would be good for 35$. Helps alot. I MEAN ALOT. Also there are free upgrades that you can do to your gun hear. www.ottersccustoms.com . Helps alot. Polish the intenals and also remove the venturi. Its not as hard as it sounds. i know you might be a little sketch on if you can do any of this or not but this forum is behind u the whole way :.
Also you would need a mask and a co2 tank and also a hopper. So make sure you get the package deal. Also can you tell me your budget? That would help.

Well you won't find a gun with good accuracy stocked unless it has a good barrel which paintball gun companys can't make good barrels so buy somethign cheap and then buy yourself a barrel for about $40.

the rodeo I have read is the best spyder at stock level, you might consider looking into that.

Negative. The velocity is fully adjustable with all spyder guns. Sometimes you may need a different spring though if you have to get a much lower or higher fps.

* We should note that we could only slow the velocity down to about 270 fps, so you may want to consider buying a spring kit for the Xtra if you wish to you use it at speeds less then 270 fps.

Now im not sure, but for some reason, the Victor II appeals to me, must be me, but it looks nice, heard good things bout it, and its cheap, (I dont have a job, i quit, im 15yo btw) so my budget is quite tight, but if you can find me some cheap alternative, thatd be great

I bought the Victor II. The body is aluminum and the trigger fram (I think) is composite. This is okay considering by next year I will probably have an E-Frame. Plus, I like the rubber "bike grip" on the Victor. With such a small price diff between the Xtra and VII, it's all personal preferance.

Actually it isnt. xpaintball pays for this site, so why would they let other sites use it for advertising? Then in paying for this forum, they would be paying for advertising for all of there competition...

Let that guy do what he wants, dont give him a sells pitch, just give your ideas of the markers he is talking about, lol, and im sure he can scrounge up money for the paint, ha but when paintballs get about 2 or 3 cents for ball, that is expensive haha , im sure things will work out, have fun gettin into the sport of paintball vip3r87.
