maybe a new gun with eyes if you got the money but the faster your balls feed the least chance of choping. oh they have new anti-chop bolts for like $50(i think) and the have then for sypders

It very well may be the paint. The higher end paint or tourney paint is softer shelled than all the cheap stuff. This is so it will break easily on players. But if u have a spyder that runs over 500 psi (which u do) the pressure may be breaking the paint. This mean lower your pressure and less balls will break.

The hopper feeding too fast wont make u break balls unless ur ball detents stink. I am pretty sure it is the pressure ur gun is running at..which is probobly at 800 psi. Plus, a halo b will only feed as fasst as u can shoot.

Yes, also make sure the detent isnt loose. This could be causing problems

Also, your pressure is probobly too high. Most spyders chop easy due to the extremely high pressure they run on. So if u pick up a regulator and turn ur psi down, that should help.

And about the paint...the cheaper stuff sadly and ironically will probobly do less chopping since they have thicker shells...But then they may not break on people. So its your call..chop paint or bounce off people.

If you dont want to waste money on a new bolt, you could sand the front of your bolt. My friends Xtra was also a blender, but i suggest he sand down the front of the bolt, and wam, no chops. I think the electra needs a straight elbow like most spyders right? If so, find the little hole in the elbow. Put tape over this. Dont ask me what id does, but it helps with chops. It worked for both my friends.
Hope that helps

The paint could be brittle, there could be something in your barrel. Your bolt could be chipping and have some metal sticking out. It could be a lot of things.

i highly doubt it is a chipped bolt. Most spyders are blenders if u try and fire over 6 bps. Without a regulator the pressure of the bolt moving foreword is too much for any good quality paint to handle. That is why many times cheaper paint works better...because they have thcker shells

Very not true lol. I used to have a spyder pilot (no reg). Most accurate gun ever. 13bps and not one chop. As soon as the bolt chipped the basterd went to hell. So a new bolt was installed.

Wow, I guess I have been lucky. I have several spyders, rarely chop paint on any of them (play woods ball though, rarely shoot above ~4 bps). Brass eagle and cheap arse paint being the exception though. I chop 1-2/400 if I use the cheap stuff. Ran around 4000 rounds of diablo midnight through my stock 2000 with only one ball break though. I understand the logic (cheap paint = thick shells = less ball breaks) but it hasn't worked that way for me.
