arent the halo b's force fed? you may be feeding more than 1 ball into the breach each time because spyder detents suck.

I would agree that the force feed is stronger then your detents.. Unfortunately there is not a whole heck of alot that you can do about it as there are not a whole lot of aftermarket Kingman detents.

If the detent does not fix it, I think you can turn the halo down as well. I know I heard it somewhere before, but I have never tried it on mine.

You won't need the rate of fire a halo B offers, just get a reloader and you'll be fine. Your halos spring is pushing the balls past the detents.

Get hard timmy detents and see if that stops it. I don't think you can do duals because of the powerfeed. Otherwise, trade me the Halo for my egg and cash.

At this point there is no reason for him to change hoppers or buy a new one. Halo b's should work, I know because mine works on my spyder, so we just have to fix the problem. A new detent is a lot cheaper than a new hopper...

the point here is that the new detent may not fully resolve the problem, the problem may lie in the force feeding of the balls from the halo. thus my suggestion of the revvy or empire.

Replace the detent. If that doesnt work then look for a new hopper but keep your halo b.

But I know that a halo b can be used with spyder detents because I have one. I also know of other people who have had halos on there spyders, and there should be no trouble. Replacing the detent should work fine.

That's because most people that use a Halo B on their Spyder have the newer ball and spring type detent. Those usually have no problems. What he has is the older style "rubber nub" detents like on Intimidators except he only has one and not two. I'd say get a hard timmy detent and see if you can install another one on the other side. I'm pretty sure that'll fix it.
