are you sure it isnt the little metal clip that holds your bolt pin on? It will be on the back left/right of your gun.

I was gonna suggest that even before I read your post. On my SL-68 II, I had it apart adn took the sling off and when I ran down the basement stairs to paint it I thought there was somethign loose. Turns out it was the sling loop.

Thanks guys. That was indeed rattling, didn't even think of it. However, there's still a rattling, just a much lower-volume one now... odd.

edit: I just took it apart, and none of the pieces rattled. However, when I put it back together again I got the same thing. Hmmm. edit again: It's coming from the grip.

edit again: Bingo, got it!!! Towards the top of the grip, behind the trigger, there's a large metal thing. (i think the manual says i'ts a coil set) When I pull the trigger, a hammer-type piece that's part of it slams into it very rapidly, making a click. Anyhow, there's this very narrow copper ring monted between the main piece and the hammering one, and it has ample room to move around when I'm not pulling the trigger, causing the rattling. That's normal, right?
