Difference between LP and HP

Hey, I have an E-99 and just decided to get a little more serious about pb and upgrade it and stuff. When I was researching HPA tanks to get I read the forums and someone said that if the tank is low pressure then you need a regulator but if its high pressure you just put the tank on and your ready to go.

is this right? if so, how can you tell between hp and lp (3000psi / 4500psi ?) and what are the differences.

thank you for your time.

A lp tank is almost useless except on a few select guns. The spyder not being one of them. If you have a low pressure tank you dont need a regualator but you will almost always have because most lp guns are high end and come with regs. Low pressure is not recommened for spyders. It will just increse chance of shoot down. You should be able to tell the difference because it will usally say either HP or LP, or the pressure which for you , you would want a 800 psi tank. I dont know if that made sence so if you have more question feel free to pm me.

Yeah I get what your saying. So low pressure would be around 800 psi? Because all the tanks I've looked at online are either 3000 or 4500 psi and they dont list whether they are HP or LP (maybe I'm just looking at cheap sites ).

Well the 3500 to 5000 PSI HPA tanks have a regulator on them. Ussually preset to around 800PSI or theres LP versions set around 300 PSI. They are adjustable within 200PSI. So low pressure is really anything below 450. Im gunna close this because its been anwsered 13575 times. Just do a search next.
