Hi, i'm new here. Played a few times with a rental gun and bought my own used yesterday.

Question i have is, the gun came with a 9.6v rechargable battery but no charger. Should I get a charger for it (and risk the battery not being good any more) or can I just run a regular 9volt in it? Seems that .6 volts wouldn't make a big difference and a duracel max 9v should have about the same mAh rating as the NimH that came with it.

Also, while i'm asking questions, what upgrades would you all recommend for the gun? I'll be playing only occasionally and am a total newb.

i like you, yoiu actually admitted your mistake, i will now answer your question



a regular 9vlt battery will work fine, its just you dont get quite as amny shots from it, maybe around 2,000

as for upgrades, barrel and hopper upgrades are a must, smart parts teardrop, j&j ceramics, cp 1 peice, all good barrels, and as for hoopers, 12vlt revvi or reloader, bith are under 50 and feed 12bps

I've noticed that spyders don't seem to like normal 9 volt batteries. They'll shoot, but you get an extremely limited amount of shots off a normal 9v compared to the kingman 9.6v rehchargeable. I reccomend you go over to pbnation's for sale section and look for a used spyder charger, it's worth it.
