If it feels like oil it probably is.

Otherwise I'd say it's just water condensation. If the CO2 going through the marker cools it down enough, it's going to attract the humidity from the air...just like leaving a cold drink outside on a warm day.

if you have ever taken the trigger frame off, there is a hole in the bottom of the gun where the sear hits the striker. the sear takes up about half of this hole... leaving the rest of the hole open to your trigger frame, which in most mech spyders is almost entirely hollow. if you put too much oil in your gun it will drip out of the hole, and the portion not closed by the sear happens to be right above the trigger, so thats where your mysterious substance is coming from. it could also be water condensation like torch said... but you aren't likely to see it on the outside of the gun unless you have a damaged o-ring from liquid co2 going in your gun
