Afraid of gun now....

I'm useally not the one to ask questions but this time it's serious. Ok, so today I put some drops of oil in beofre I put my 20 oz on. Gassed it up and then I was going to shot it a couple times to get the oil around it. Then I shot it and my gun went so crazy. It started shooting like 14 bps and I looked at my bolt and it was going crazy, I turned my marker off and I took my tank off and then gassed it up again thinking it was something weird. It did the same thing but this time it stopped after like 10 shots. I click the triger once and it goes crazy. I brought it inside to find that my detent it cracked. Wtf just happended? Also it is kinda cold outside.....I just got my tank filled today....

I think that the cold did something to it. This has happened ot m, but it was when i put a dragun trigger frame on me E99 and the sear didn't catch. It was kinda scary cuz I wasnt' sure what to do so i just let it go till it stopped. It went on and on and on for probalyl 30 seconds.

sounds like a problem w/ your striker/sear not catching.

Oh, and matrix_agent, letting your gun cycle uncontrollably is not good for its heath, a simple touch with your finger would have stopped the bolt, no need to drain the tank..

Check the screws that hold the grip frame on. There was a thread a few weeks ago with a silimiar problem. It was caused by the grip being lose to the body which cause the sear to not catch the striker.

this may be dumb, but do you think this has anything to do with yer gun being "turbo'd" or "achieving turbo" as you said earlier with that modification you made?

No, because I did it to a friends gun and his is fine. Also I turned it off....it may be the cold weather or the noid mod...maybe a nickle's too thick I heard. I'll take it out and see.

Theres nothing you could have messed up on doing it. Only thing you can do is fry your board, if anything did happen then my gun would be messed up without gas....and its fine without gas. I can walk it and all, but thanks for the ideas..

my gun did that one time in the garage when i was adjusting my regulator to the lowest possible recocking pressure. i got just under recockiing pressure. my gun got cold and then the whole gun formed frost and the gauge was frosted. thats the first time i saw snow in Georgia, coming outta my barrel. i was scared so i didnt do anything, but i should have unscrewed the tank. i dont know about catching the bolt, that seems kinda dangerous
