bko and a sypder...what to do.....what to do

Heh, hey everyone, i have a 04 bko with the ups in my sig so far, and i also have a spyder rodeo. After using my bko for a couple of weekends, the rodeo sucks....lol. Right now it has a 14" cp one piece, suprfly bolt, and 12v revvy. I was curious if it was worth putting a esp 3.0 (or rolling trigger) on it, and a new reg. Only reason i'm worried about it...is because the bko is off at vapor getting pds, and i have to use the rodeo for about a month. So do you think it would be worth putting a 100 dollars into this gun to make it an okay backup gun?.....or just use that money towards my bko or a different backup gun. What to do...what to do. Lol any help would be great . Thx for your time.

I happen to like the Rodeo. For an entry level marker, it is a very versitile and functional marker.

In terms of your question, it depends on your style of play. You can still pull 6-8 bps on a mech Rodeo, with the ESP you can get 10-13 bps. So, you have to look to see if 6-8 BPS will get the job done for you.

Frankly, I think you can probably sink far less into it then you think. Get the ESP off e-bay for about $60 and you are good to go. In terms of the stock reg on the spyder, they are actually pretty good (unlike in years past where the stock Kingman regulators were anything but.) I think if you just do the ESP, you will have a very good backup marker. If you want to get crazy about it later, you can always get a new board for it, and even eyes.. Just depends on how much you want to up it.

Thx for the reply m8 . I like my rodeo to, i'm just not sure if i like the mech trigger, so i think i'll just buy a esp for it, and then i'll go from there. By the way, i don't want it for auto or 3 shot or any of that stuff, just semi is fine for me, so should i still try to get the esp 3.0, or will any esp frame work (as long as it is still 10-13bps). And one last question is can you adjust the trigger like on a bko?....(microswitch engagement and spring tension). Thx once again Medic, your post was the answer i was looking for

as usual, medic beat me to the punch....but ill give you my $.02 anyways.

if money is hard to come by for you, id keep a hold of it. otherwise, id go ahead and up that spyder a little....what's $60-70 right? plus it is good to have a decent back up.
