Thats a myth.
And yeah american dad is supposed to be sweet. I put up a link to a pilot episode a long time ago. Its basically the exact same as family guy only differnt storyline.

i have the pilot of american dad, i think thats what they are airing. anyway, american dad is almost exactly like family guy but its about a family and the father works for the CIA. it looks kind of funny, but id rather see family guy..
