alright, i thought i would ask because these things are a pain in the arse to have. has anyone on pbf every had an ingrown toe-nail? i just got my second on that i hve had in like 8 months, they really, really suck. now i have to get part of my toe-nail removed. that part doesnt hurt, but the thing that sucks is the novacane shot, 3 times in the same toe!

yeah, and the worst thing is that now i cant play paintball for like 1 month because i cant run now, it really sucks

I got both sides on both toe nails lasered off, never had one since.

hve you gotten it taken out yet?

ive had foot surgury, tons of stitches, 6 broken bones, etc, and not one hospital experience has come close to as painful as getting my ingrown big toe nail taken out. the actual removing wasnt the problem, it was the shot. the guy went to the bone, worked around it, then found the other side of my toe, all without shooting one drop of novacaine (which he released as he slowly pulled the needle out) hurt soooo damn bad

I had the exact same thing on both my left and right big toes. The shots hurt so bad, he does the third on purpose i swear. but after five minutes you can't feel a thing

I hate how the doctor tugs on ti and stuff so you think he is ripping out the entire nail. After my "surgery" I had to take antibiotics and keep my foot in an epsom salt bath for 15 minutes twice a day. I played paintball a week later, lol.

I loved my ingrown toe nail. After the doc injected my toe full of anesthetics, I watched him as he cut my nail lengthwize. It was really cool and I didn't feel a thing. The shots themselves hurt... but they weren't THAT bad. I think I spent a whole day poking my toe after the operation.

hmmm, i should probally go to the odctors more. i have had a few ingrown toe nails, the most rescent i got rid of maby 1-2 months ago. i had both my big toes with ingrown toe nails, i just clean the dirt out from underneith 'em and let them grow out until i can fix it. never gotten a shot for it or anything

you only go to the doc if its really nasty. my toe was getting infected so they had to stop it

I had a ingrown toe-nail on the same toe, on the same side twice.....its hurts like hell getting the novacane shots.....but then the doctor just fiddles with ur totsie and its over with...it doesnt hurt much after that......i played soccer like a week or 2 after i got mine done....but the thing i learned is, dont pick at it or try to cut it out urself cause ull just make it worse and then it'll hurt more.

I got an ingrown nail on my middle finger. That I took care of myself. I had to pop the skin with a hot needle to let the pus drain out, and then cut my own nail. Needless to say it hurt, but it saved the time to go to the docs.

my brother had one.. on his big toe, it got infected and was SO gross. stank like mad.

i get like mild ingrown toe nails. Like i dont cut the very end of my toe nail and it starts to grow into the skin so i cut the nail...

Me to. I actually have one right not and it's getting really bad.

I've had surgery twice on it because of ingrown toe nails. They don't get any better, so go to a foot doctor. The surgery is fast and doesnt really hurt.

Not really an ingrown, but i think i outdo all of you,

I broke my big toe, and for some reason they needed to take the nail off. They did all of the novacaine shots, and proceded to rip the entire nail off with tweasers. That whole process hurt SOOO bad. . .

I had one a long time ago. I didn't get any shots tho...just a strip of latex wrapped around it to cut off the circulation. didn't feel anything but pressure the whole time, and my nail still grows straight (got it done like 5 years ago)

my doctor put on the latex and he gave m 8 shots...i watched my toe get bigger and bigger as he was injectin the shots...and that same day i was out playin football with the docs permission so kidpaintballer i dont know why you even said you cant play paintball for a month

and when feeling lazy just walk swiftly

You don't get part of the toenail cut out.

Soak your toe in scalding, hot salt water three times a day. Within a month, your toe is back to normal. Ingrown toenails are the result of improper clipping or cleaning.
