Soccer boots
I need some opinions on something. I have some old nike vapors, which have been great except for the fact that they keep giving me blisters... i use to have a pair of predator mania's which were very nice, but my brother gave them to a friend a while ago. And since my soccer season is starting, I was wondering if anyone knows if after a while the skin will toughen and no longer will i be prone to blisters from the vapors, or should i get a cheap pair of old predators again? and are the new pulses any better (like $120 dollars better) than the mania's? thanks much.

If the blister's on the bottom of your feet, they'll toughen up. Just run barefoot instead of with running shoes-- get soles of iron, especially if you're running on summer asphault.
If the blisters are on the top of your feet, then I'd change shoes. Those can get infections and stuff.

i agree with hippomaster (even though it isn't the safe-est, especially on mulch) it will make your feet get calouses (sp?) and then you wont feel it. i luckily did this when i was bout 4 so i can beat people in races barefoot on asphalt in the summer even though they have shoes. (track and x-country may help lol). be careful that the blisters don't become infected though.

If you are getting blisters it is because the shoe doesn't fit you properly. It may not be the right size or the design may just not suit your foot. Blisters are a result of your foot rubbing against the shoe. If the shoe fit properly then your foot wouldn't slide around inside of it causing the rubbing.
As for new cleats I always recommend Copa's. Plain and simple but gets the job done. Adidas > all for soccer cleats.

I agree, Ive been wearing addidas Preds for about 5 years now. I have the 2004 Mania ones and they've been going strong for almost 2 years now, never had a blister.
I really dispise Nike shoes, they just dont fit me well, especially the vapors. The heel is just poorly designed and if it doesnt fit your foot like a glove, your heel will constanly get blisters.
I allways wear addidas shoes, and nike gear.
I suggest going to eurosport.com and looking at the great saves for some nice deals, might be able to find some manias for a good price.

www.prosoccer.com thats wear my bro and i order our stuff. i agree with whoever said copas. those are druable and cheap. tho i guess it could depend on which position u play. the forwards on my team tend to have vapors or f 50s, and im rockin the total 90s, which are pretty nice too. tho i also havent heard anything bad about predators. if u used to have predators and liked them, then get another pair. they seem to be pretty good quality.

I had predator's for a while, but i didnt like them. I just got a pair of Nike Air Ninety's II, they fit me great. I like them alot better than my old adidas's.
