I'm in junior high, and we get tons of homework! When i was in 7th grade, i had at least 6 hours of it a day! It's not as bad now, but its still enough to complain about

Hang in there guys, you either have to work hard now or work hard later in life.
Example:
Finish School,go to College and then you can buy a Porsche,Viper, Vette, etc.
Dont finish School and Dont go to College and you can wash and clean these kinds of cars for the people that did finish School and go to College.

i dont usually get too much homework, and we have blok scheduling. thats where you have two of your core classes one day then the other two the next day so i get two days to work on hw except for friday i have all my classes, but anyways, i think they should just base our grades on tests cuz i nvr do my hw but im one of, if not the smartest kid in my school but i just dont do any of my hw so my grades go down and if i get b's and c's then i cant play any organized sports which are my only life........down with hw and up with tests

Yea, im the same way. I do excelent on my test but never do my homework and my grade goes down a lot. I think homework is just an excuse for teachers to drop down the grades of kids they don't like.

You guys have long classes, I only go to my 5 or 6 classes for 30-45 minutes, I have a free period in the mornings thats about an hour long then I get another hour on top of then Tuesdays and Fridays. Then I have 45 minutes after school to work on my homework a bit. Then I got a half hour bus ride to sleep or do homework. I get home around 4:15, then I finish whatever HW I got left. The day flies by. Plus, since im on a Catholic School schedule we get more days off and we get out pretty early. We only have to go 140 days compared to the 180 required by public school.

i though that i already said that i have block scheduling but i guess not, gopeds right, its eases the hw but im also like him in the fact that i dont do it till the last second (not minute) but i have eight periods a day that are each fourty minutes long. block scheduling just combines two of them

Plus half the stuff in that homework you never use again in your life
