This past week (Mon-Thrus) I was at a wrestling camp in Pocatello, ID. It was one of the greatest wrestling experiences I've had in my life. I have to say the best sessions were the throwing sessions one was coached by Ivan something (a Bulgarian name) and Rulon Gardener(2000 Olmypic Gold Medalist, and 2004 Bronze).

It was great but about the Topic name, The Grind Match is a full one hour non-stop, no breaks match. The match was at the end of the camp and completely voluntary, my friend and I decided to do it, and we did. one-hour of non-stop wrestling was worth it. After doing the match I have more convidence in myself.

So all in all the camp was great, on the plus side there where two girl wrestlers at the camp that were pretty cute, my friend hooked up w/ one.

Oh ya, for thoses of you how are thinking "man wrestling is gay" or "I could do that easy" I have one thing to say to you BULL****. wrestling is the oldest and toughest sport known to man.

I use to have hour long fights when I was doing martial arts. Man that was fun. I really should sign back up. Hmmm...

good to see some brothers in the sport of wrestling......i have been out of it for a while due to a hurt knee(not from wrestling tho...) but caint wait to get back in...

If you were to describe wrestling it sounds pretty gay, I mean, think about it:

"You get dressed into a one piece spandex outfit, get down on the floor, and grapple with another man until he is submissive."

I'm not saying it is gay, i'm just saying it is an image that wrestling will never shake. The whole "Pro-wrestling" thing doesn't help it either. (Especially since that is gay)

wrestling is gay.

but so is rugby.

they both are made up of sweaty guys grabbing each other all over.....

and rugby is tougher.

but wrestling is fun to watch as well.

Oh no not again...

I dont care much for organized sports. I'd rather show up at a paintball field or clal up a bunch of friends and play some wiffleball or something. I dont like being ona schedule for somethign thats supposed to be my leisure time..

I like sparring and martial arts much more. The feeling of laying my size 12 foot into somebodys gut is just something no other sport can give you.

Man, I went to a wrestling camp and I completely hate the thought of organized wrestling now. I mean wrestling for my school and such. So much that I've just turned away from it.

Wrestling may seem gay, but then again, there are several other sports that are exactly like it, if not worse. Football, for instance. Get dressed up in spandex. Chase after man. In all honestly it takes immaturaity to say that wrestling is gay.

And I wouldn't go so far as to say one sport is tougher than wrestling. Try moving around in a sitting position for six minutes while trying to beat the crap out of your opponent.

That is why I love rifle, you never have to touch another shooter or even go near them and when you tell someone you shoot guns professionally they tend to leave you alone.
